St. Johns County has miles of beaches!
From ponte vedra in the north to crescent in the south, and all the beaches in between, there are plenty of places to have fun in the sun!
Mickler (pronounced ‘Mike-ler’) Beach
- Due east of Nocatee (only about 10 minutes away)
- Public access, parking, restrooms, and outdoor showers available
- Can be crowded, especially on holidays
- Family friendly – great sand for sandcastle-making
- On windy days, great for surfing
- Dogs allowed but need to be on a leash
Vilano Beach
- South on A1A from Mickler
- Several accesses along A1A with parking usually across the street on the west side of A1A
- Much less crowded than Mickler, but many areas will not have restrooms
- Great beach to hunt for shark’s teeth
Crescent Beach
- At the southernmost point of the county off of SR206
- Access points, parking, and restrooms available
- May be more crowded at times due to the many condos and restaurants
- The sand is amazing! White, sugary sand like on the gulf coast side of Florida
