The Blessing of the Fleet
Thousands attend this annual tradition which takes place just after Palm Sunday Mass at the Cathedral Basilica. Over 100 boats – from speedboats to yachts – gather in the marina to receive a special blessing from the Bishop, a Spanish tradition that ensures a safe and bountiful boating season.

Craft Brewers’ Festival
Taking place at the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park, this festival gives attendees the opportunity to enjoy samples from 25 regional and local breweries. The festival includes live music, food trucks, and events for kids – plus the proceeds benefit local charities!

St. Augustine Music Festival
Each year St. Augustine hosts one of the largest classical music festivals in the US and it’s all free! The concerts take place at the Cathedral Basilica downtown and feature musicians from all over the world. It’s a beautiful celebration of music and culture.

4th of July Fireworks
Thousands of people line the bayfront and Bridge of Lions each year to witness a spectacular fireworks display over the Matanzas Bay and St. Augustine Inlet. Spectators can also enjoy a free concert at the Plaza de la Constitucion before the fireworks begin.

Music by the Sea
Each Wednesday night (May-September) you can enjoy a free concert series played at St. Augustine’s Pier Park. Great dining options are available all around, making it a perfect place to enjoy a summer evening. So bring your lawn chairs, listen to music, and come relax by the sea!

Founder’s Day Celebration
St. Augustine is the oldest continuously inhabited city in the United States and each year on September 8th (the day of our founding) we celebrate our town! With the help of historical reenactors (dressed in full Spanish garb), visitors can experience what that day in 1565 may have been like.

Halloween in St. Augustine
St. Augustine is reported to be one of the most haunted cities in America, so this is the perfect month to explore the darker side of The Oldest City and take in a ghost tour. You can visit the Old Jail, the Castillo de San Marcos, the lighthouse, a cemetery, and much more. Maybe you’ll even see a ghost!

Night of Lights
Selected by National Geograhic as one of the top 10 lighting displays in the world, St. Augustine’s Nights of Lights is truly incredible. The magical glow of millions of tiny white lights illuminates the town and is the perfect start to the Christmas season. Lights go up in late November and come down January 31.

St. Augustine Christmas Parade
For over 65 years, St. Augustine has ushered in the holiday season with the largest Christmas parade in Northeast Florida. Spectators will enjoy floats, marching bands, dancers, animals, costumed paraders, and (of course) Santa Claus!
